God’s Favorite Action Figure

Remember when we were boys,

When we would make our toys,

Do outlandish things?

Flung through the air

with little care

Hoping they land on their feet

Tape for repair

Arms tugged, torn bare

Left beneath a car’s tire in the street

God is that boy

you are his toy

His amusement

Such deceit
